City Sounds Live is a travelling music festival, presented in partnership with BIAs and co-curators, in various neighbourhoods around the city of Ottawa. Created in 2021 thanks to funding from the City of Ottawa’s Economic Development Department, City Sounds Live promotes diverse local emerging artists and encourages economic growth. The concerts aim to provide residents and visitors of Ottawa with free, family-friendly, and inclusive outdoor live music experiences that foster community involvement, social cohesion, and increased spending in the surrounding areas.

Dumis9ne I
Dumisani Chirwa, popularly known as Dumis9ne I, is a Malawian reggae/afro-dancehall artist. His music journey started at a very tender age of 10. Some of his artistic influences include Evison Matafale, VIC Marley, Bob Marley, Jah9, Chronixx, Vaughn Benjamin (voice of Akea Beka and Midnite) and Damian Marley. His music has been branded "Malawian Gold", alongside artists like Manzy don Mecca, purpose, Positive yut, OOAW, Tonga Heritage, 16bazz and other Malawian artists. His musicual content revolves around love, peace, creation, humanity, anti-war and positivity in general.
MoZayic
Zaynab Wilson is a well-rounded and well-travelled musician who attunes to her gift of transmuting rhythm and harmony, and themes of the inward and outward journey, into song, story and groove. From her creatively unique upbringing, Zaynab’s current work reflects her interpretation of the ancestral Afro-Caribbean rhythms and style of her heritage, blended with her soaring soulful vocalization. MoZayic is Zaynab and artists who add their colour, collaboration, and improvisation to a family-natured original music project. With no exception, this iteration features members of the Wilson family steelpan band representing the art-form and culture. Dr. Salah Wilson on Alto steelpan and Rashiyd Wilson on soprano.
