City Sounds Live is a travelling music festival, presented in partnership with BIAs and co-curators, in various neighbourhoods around the city of Ottawa. Created in 2021 thanks to funding from the City of Ottawa’s Economic Development Department, City Sounds Live promotes diverse local emerging artists and encourages economic growth. The concerts aim to provide residents and visitors of Ottawa with free, family-friendly, and inclusive outdoor live music experiences that foster community involvement, social cohesion, and increased spending in the surrounding areas.Â

Opartheeb
Opartheeb is a Canadian Bangladeshi band based in Ottawa, Ontario. Blending the rich tapestry of Bangladeshi culture with the energetic sounds of Western music, the group has quickly gained recognition for their unique and powerful symphonic metal sound.
Formed in the summer of 2008, the band comprises Syed Adnan Ali on drums, Salehin Chowdhury on vocals and guitar, Asfin Haider on vocals, Aad-Yean Faisal on keyboards, and Ahsan Ali on bass. Their shared passion for music brought them together at Carleton University, where they discovered their collective voice in the world of symphonic metal.
Opartheeb made waves with their debut single, ""Bangal,"" released in December 2021. The track resonated deeply with audiences both in Canada and Bangladesh, propelling the band into the spotlight. Their eagerly anticipated debut album, ""Abcha Neel Kona,"" produced by legendary Bangladeshi guitarist Sazzad Arefeen, is set to release later this year.
Dhrubo
Born in Bangladesh and having immigrated to Canada with his parents, Dhrubo is a self-taught musician who discovered his passion for music during his college years. His music is profoundly influenced by the teachings and songs of philosophers like Fakir Lalon Shah and Rabindranath Tagore, shaping his thought process and life. Dhrubo has written numerous original songs, which he plans to release as singles on various streaming platforms. Currently, he is working on a new song set to be released on August 30th, 2024. His journey is a testament to the power of self-discovery and the enduring influence of cultural heritage.
