Description

A collaboration between the Sparks Street BIA and the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) is bringing local music to The Shed on Sparks St all summer long! The lunchtime concert series, Songs from the Shed, will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 12pm-1:30pm. Music lovers from the Ottawa region are invited to come enjoy lunch outdoors with a variety of captivating singer-songwriters in solo or duo formations. The project will be run by Ottawa’s own Jessy Lindsay, bilingual singer-songwriter and program coordinator.

This Chansons from the Shed special edition will be hosted by Sophie Bernier from the Festival franco-ontarien.

12pm - Chantale Trottier

Chantale is an Ottawa-based singer-songwriter-composer inspired by pop music and the vocal jazz tradition of greatest hits. Smiling and jovial, her great sensitivity is expressed in her dreamlike universe that invites us to taste the best of life. Surely born under the sign of music, her beautiful rich and warm voice always transports us on a journey.

12:55pm - SarahLu

Sarah Lussier, artist name SarahLu, is from Quebec and moved to Ottawa in 2004 to start her career. She has played music (piano) and sung since she was young. She participated in the JamBand program twice (Alcorn Studios), launched 2 EPs, and was part of the TV series Francophono on BellFibe (2024). She composes and sings in English and French. She mixes opera and electronic styles, but in solo performances prefers folk on guitar and synth. When Sarah isn't playing music, she is a health coach and personal trainer for menopause.
