Description

A collaboration between the Sparks Street BIA and the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) is bringing local music to The Shed on Sparks St all summer long! The lunchtime concert series, Songs from the Shed, will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 12pm-1:30pm. Music lovers from the Ottawa region are invited to come enjoy lunch outdoors with a variety of captivating singer-songwriters in solo or duo formations. The project will be run by Ottawa’s own Jessy Lindsay, bilingual singer-songwriter and program coordinator.

12pm - Phil Lukic

Ottawa-born bass-baritone Phil Lukic (they/them) is an opera singer, composer, and multidisciplinary artist who is passionate about connecting classical arts to a modern public. Described as commanding, authoritative, and animated onstage, Lukic's rich voice has allowed them the unique opportunity to work in a variety of classical genres.

12:55pm - Gabriela Comeau Gort

Gabriela Comeau Gort is a mezzo-soprano from Ottawa. An enthusiastic performer, her upcoming and past performances have taken her to Spain, England, Italy, Chile, and New York. Gabriela enjoys story-telling by merging new and under-performed music with interpretations of older works from the Western classical music canon.
