Description

A collaboration between the Sparks Street BIA and the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) is bringing local music to The Shed on Sparks St all summer long! The lunchtime concert series, Songs from the Shed, will takes place from 12pm-1:30pm. Music lovers from the Ottawa region are invited to come enjoy lunch outdoors with a variety of captivating singer-songwriters in solo or duo formations. The project will be run by Ottawa’s own Jessy Lindsay, bilingual singer-songwriter and program coordinator.

Programming 

Rejuno and Hung Ton

Régy, aka Rejuno, is a versatile artist born in Montreal, raised in Haiti, and matured in Ottawa. Coming from a musical family, he blends classical training as a tenor and baritone with a passion for R&B, neo-soul, blues, and zouk. 

Hung Ton is a self-taught musician, multi-instrumentalist and composer who likes to mess around and experiment with music. Inspired by modern musicians such as Cory Henry, FKJ, etc. Hung enjoys testing boundaries with jazz, neo-soul, funk, rock, orchestral, fusing them in different styles and creating a unique vibe through his soulful performance and original works. 

Amanda Cottreau 

Voicing everything from sultry RnB to alternative rock ballads to heart-baring original compositions, Amanda Cottreau knows how to deliver. As alluring as the sculpted landscapes skirting the Bay of Fundy, this delightfully queer Ottawa/Gatineau singer's voice will leave an unforgettable impression.
