Music x Business Grants Now Live!

After successfully supporting Ottawa’s music industry with seed grants during the COVID-19 lockdowns, the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) is excited to introduce the new Music x Business Development Fund. Backed by Kinaxis, the 2024 Music x Business (MxB) Video Production Stream offers direct funding for music pros at all levels to create high-quality music videos. This fund, managed by OMIC, is all about boosting local music, sparking creativity, and increasing online engagement for Ottawa’s thriving music scene.

The funding is open to OMIC members based in the Ottawa region (within 150km, including Gatineau, the Ottawa Valley, Pakwakanagan, and Kitigan Zibi). From August 13th to September 4th, 2024, at 5:00 pm ET, artists, videographers, labels, venue operators, and other music industry folks can submit their applications. The goal is to create new music videos, whether live or recorded, featuring original music by artists from the Ottawa region. OMIC is also offering a special discount code for non-members to snag a free first-time membership, allowing them to apply for the grant.
