OMIC was proud to partner with SOCAN and House of Ensemble to bring a Black Music Song Camp to life at the Audio Valley Recording Studio in Ottawa on February 28 and March 1, 2025!

This event gathered 15 talented songwriters, producers, and artists who came together to create incredible music.

The camp was all about creativity, collaboration, and building meaningful connections, with a focus on crafting songs that could make a big impact in the music world and help Black artists grow their careers.

The group also had the opportunity to hear the professional advice and experience of entertainment lawyer, Lyndra Griffith-Harnden, of Edwards Creative Law.

Everyone rotated between studios in small groups, bringing fresh energy and new ideas to the table, creating a fun and dynamic atmosphere where creativity could truly flourish!

A big thank you to Lord Quest, Creative Executive for Black Music and SOCAN for bringing your leadership to Ottawa.
