Ottawa Exchanges

This is the form to use if you’re applying for the Ottawa Exchanges grant stream of the Ottawa Music Development Fund. This stream supports Ottawa-based artists, non-profit organizations or collectives looking to either : (a) bring in expertise from outside Eastern Ontario to build local capacity; or (b) travel outside of Eastern Ontario to engage in professional development, showcasing or to share expertise.

In short, you’re in the right place if you’re looking to bring someone in from out of town so that our music community can learn from them OR you’re looking to head out of town to show what you can do or learn something new that you can’t currently do here.

In order to be eligible for these grants, you must operate as one of the following :

  • An active artist (5 or more public performances or releases within the last 12 months)

  • An incorporated non-profit organization

  • A grassroots collective comprised of three or more artists or music-related entities (organizations, businesses, etc.) working together towards an easily identifiable goal or objective on a not-for-profit basis

You must complete all questions with a (*) for your application to be complete.

Please provide as much information as possible as it will help the jurors make better decisions about which projects to fund.

Applications must be received on or before 23/09/2019 in order to be eligible. Project start and end dates must be between 01/08/2019 and 31/12/2019.

An artist, organization or collective may submit or be listed as a partner on more than one application.

Thank you for taking the time to apply. We look forward to hearing about your project!
