Tech Rocks is a one-night-only fundraiser bringing together Ottawa’s tech and music communities at the iconic Rainbow Bistro. Join local tech leaders, innovators, and live bands for an intimate evening of networking, live music, and community in support of the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) and Ottawa’s growing music ecosystem. Limited capacity, come experience the energy where tech and music collide.

What is Tech Rocks?
TechRocks is the epic battle of the bands where Ottawa’s tech companies go head-to-head on stage, giving our tech communities hidden musical talent a chance to shine. On stage will be Westpark, Disaster Recovery and Wayward Sons.
2026 Event: Fri June 5, 2026
Where: The Rainbow Bistro, 76 Murray Street, Byward Market
Time: Doors open at 6PM, show at 7PM

Official Tournament begins spring 2026.
How it will work in spring 2026:
Each band must represent a tech company based in the National Capital Region.
Every band must have at least one employee from their company playing in the group.
Bands will have a min of 3 members, max of 6
Bands must be stage-ready to perform a 30-minute set
Funds are raised in Support of the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition programming.
The companies represented will have their brand represented throughout the competition (website, social media, onsite signage)

Qu’est-ce que Tech Rocks?
Tech Rocks est une bataille de groupes légendaire où les entreprises technologiques d’Ottawa s’affrontent sur scène, donnant la chance aux talents musicaux cachés de la communauté techno de briller sous les projecteurs.

Le tournoi officiel débutera au printemps 2026.
Fonctionnement du tournoi (printemps 2026) :
- Chaque groupe doit représenter une entreprise technologique basée dans la région de la capitale nationale.
- Chaque groupe doit inclure au moins un employé de l’entreprise qu’il représente.
- Les groupes doivent être composés d’un minimum de 3 membres et d’un maximum de 6.
- Les groupes doivent être prêts à monter sur scène et à présenter un spectacle de 30 minutes.
Les fonds amassés soutiendront la programmation de la Coalition de l’industrie musicale d’Ottawa (CIMO).
Les entreprises participantes verront leur marque mise en valeur tout au long de la compétition (site web, médias sociaux, affichage sur place).
