Join us March 18th, 2024 at Arts Court, 2 Daly Avenue. You can register for the full-day, or choose to attend specific sessions (e.g. coworking space, one-on-one clinics, workshop). And the best part? Dollars & Sense is a complimentary perk included in OMIC/DARC memberships at no extra cost!
Please note that the March 18th workshop from 5:30pm-7:00pm will be entirely focused on music-related programs offered by Ontario Arts Council (OAC).
ON-ON-ONE (30 MINUTE CLINICS WITH KINGSLEY SWIM, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY): 1:00PM-5:00PM
Direct, hands-on support for artists and arts workers to receive guidance based on their specific needs, projects and artistic merit. It is recommended to use this time if you have started an existing application or if you have an idea for a proposed project for which you intend to apply for funding.
One clinic per member a year

COWORKING SPACE (PEER-TO-PEER): 1:00PM-5:00PM
A supportive and collaborative environment that encourages members to work together to refine their respective proposals, exchange valuable resources, and provide constructive feedback to one another. Our coworking space is limited to 20 members at a time.
Unlimited yearly access per member
PRE-WORKSHOP NETWORKING (IN-PERSON): 5:00PM-5:30PM
Meet and network with fellow creatives from OMIC and DARC before the workshop presentation from Ontario Arts Council. Doors open at 5:00pm and light refreshments will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP AND Q&A WITH ONTARIO ARTS COUNCIL: 5:30PM-7:00PM
This month’s session will feature a virtual guest speaker presentation by the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) to discuss their upcoming music grant deadlines for musicians and curators, ad-hoc groups and collectives, and incorporated not-for-profit organizations. Check out the following OAC music programs due in 2024:
Music Organizations: Operating due March 7th (all organizations, except festivals) & October 16th (festivals only)
Music Production & Presentation due March 26th & October 2th
Music Creation Projects due April 3rd & September 11th
Music Recording Projects due May 15th & November 7th
Musique – projets francophones date limite 3 Octobre
The guest speaker will be presenting remotely, but participants have the option to attend the session either online or in-person. If joining in person, you can bring your laptop or device to quietly co-work with others. Registration is required for both attendance options.
