The Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC), Ottawa’s municipal organization that represents the interests of artists and the music industry in Ottawa, is announcing that Nik Ives-Allison, OMIC’s Executive Director is leaving her position to take on the role of Cultural Mapping and Research Officer with the City of Ottawa.

Nik has done a tremendous job of bringing Ottawa’s music community together and has expanded the organization outside of the greater Ottawa area. The Board of Directors wishes Nik all the best in her endeavours with the City of Ottawa. We are all proud to have worked with Nik and are proud of all the accomplishments that she has achieved while being the Executive Director.

"It's been a real privilege to serve our membership and local music community in this role and I look forward to watching the continued growth of the organization. I leave knowing that OMIC is in the best hands with our current staff team during this transition." – Nik Ives-Allison

Thanks to Martyna Turczynowicz and Laura Falco for holding down the office and all the activities until a new Executive Director has been selected and put in place.
