CMA Ontario Wrap-Up

The 2019 Country Music Association of Ontario Awards annual Awards & Conference was held here in Ottawa at the National Arts Centre from June 13 - 16th and luckily key hardware gets to stay here right at home.

The very first ever Francophone Artist or Group of the Year award went to Gabrielle Goulet of LaFab Musique. Félicitations Gabrielle! The team at Country 101.1 based in Ottawa and Smith Falls were able to bring back the Radio Station of the Year (Large Market) to the office on Monday.

Other local nominees included Kira Isabella who was up for Single of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and Female Artist of the Year as well as the newly re-branded PURE Country 94 who was also up for Radio Station of the Year (Large Market).

Next year’s awards will be hosted by London, Ontario and we look forward to seeing a large Ottawa contingent make the trip to see our friends to the south.
